License

The License page shows your current Synconix license and lets authorized users update the key or force a re-sync with the license server. Use it whenever you purchase/upgrade a license, change the server’s domain/IP, or move the panel.

Who can access this

Requires the view_license_information_page permission to view. Changing the key or forcing an update additionally requires change_license. Without that permission the buttons/inputs are disabled.

What you’ll see

License Key — the key currently installed (with a link to Change license).
License Status — e.g. Active, Invalid, Expired, Suspended.
Production Servers Limit — how many production nodes are allowed.
Registered To — owner/company of the key.
License Type — product/plan name.
Valid Domain, Valid IP — host restrictions enforced by the license.
Register Date, Billing Cycle, Next Due Date.

Actions

Force license update — clears the local cache and re-validates with the license server on next request. Use this after upgrading seats/limits or changing plan. Running backups are not interrupted.
Change license — replace the installed key. This writes the new key and resets the local cache so the system re-activates against the license server.

When to use which

You upgraded server limit / plan in the portal → click Force license update to sync changes.
You received a new license key → use Change license, then the page will auto-sync.

Status meanings (quick guide)

Active — all good; limits are enforced as shown.
Invalid — the key is wrong or doesn’t match domain/IP/directory.
Expired — billing period ended; renew to continue updates/usage.
Suspended — contact billing/support to restore access.

Security notes

• The key and local cache are stored under the panel’s license path; ensure filesystem permissions restrict access to the panel user only.
• The license is bound to the domain/IP/directory reported on this page; make sure DNS and server IP align with what’s registered.

Troubleshooting

Servers limit not updated after changing plan: click Force license update and reload the page.
Status “Invalid”: verify the key and that the Valid Domain and Valid IP match this server; then force an update.
Status “Expired/Suspended”: check your client portal subscription; renew or contact support.
Network errors: the panel must reach the license server; verify outbound connectivity and try again.

Good practices

• Keep the panel domain stable; if you must change it, update DNS first, then force a license update.
• Limit who holds change_license permission; all changes are recorded in Users Activity logs.
